I’m a qualified Personal Development Coach, being one of the
first in the UK to achieve the new EDEXCEL BTEC Certificate in
Life Coaching Skills and Practice, the highest officially
recognised Life Coaching qualification currently available.
I believe in one to one coaching (so much more effective and
personal than over the phone) and am passionate about helping
you live the life you truly want.
Why? Because I understand that life can be hard these days.
With ever increasing demands on our energy, time and money
there seems to be less time and energy to spend on the people,
things or activities we love. It’s all too easy to feel exhausted,
burnt out, stressed, worthless…. Fun? What’s that?
I’ve seen this first hand. For over 25 years I’ve worked in mid to
senior level recruitment and I admit I’m good at it, being one of
the few recruiters to be awarded Fellowship status of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation
and of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals, which identifies me as a recruiter whose
commitment to raising standards has been recognised by my peers. So many of the candidates I
have worked with have been ground down and felt defeated, trapped. Often, they think that the
magic answer is a change of job and sometimes that can indeed do the trick. But only if it was the
job that was the whole problem in the first place and if the move is the right one to make …..
I believe wholeheartedly that any activity we spend the majority of our lives doing should be
something that we enjoy, in an organisation which is supportive of our values and amongst people
that we find inspiring and refreshing. Just having the necessary skills to do the job isn’t enough and
often the pressures we face at work mean that we simply stop doing the things that make us happy,
convincing ourselves that we don’t have the time, energy, money.....
But life isn’t all about work, even though it may feel like that sometimes. And it is that bigger picture
that Life Refreshed addresses.
Sometimes we have to stick with a job or situation that isn’t ideal, due to financial or other practical
constraints. Perhaps retirement, divorce or children leaving home is on the horizon, causing
uncertainty and anxiety about the future. But however impossible it may seem, I can genuinely
help you improve your life even if a radical change isn’t possible at this time. And when your life is
more in balance, then it’s so much easier to deal with any pressures or frustrations regardless of
their cause, helping you to be more content and increasingly effective.
